a 0-2 goal Tournament
a 2-4 Goal Tournament
Each team must comprise of individuals
working within the City, or within the financial community with the
exception of one professional player of a maximum of 2 goals (in the 0 -

Depending upon number of team entries,
qualifying rounds will be held at Ascot Park Polo Club or your home club
before the finals with the top eight teams competing on the finals day
on 4th September 2004.
For those interested in becoming Instructional or Academy
players - with the chance to take part on the day of the Championships,
a number of Open Days have been organised with all equipment supplied
and fully qualified HPA coaches giving the opportunity to experience a
highly memorable day. All tuition is held in Europe's largest
all-weather arena and introduces the theory of the game, the hitting,
the riding and then putting it all together on a pony. Each session is
followed by your first "chukka" where you will get the opportunity to
play the game for yourself.
A "fun" beginner two-chukka competition will be held
for those players who have only recently been introduced to the game.
The chukkas will be played on the enclosed all-weather arena and will be
supervised by Ascot Park instructors. To qualify, a minimum number of 2
lessons at Ascot Park will need to have been taken during the summer,
and ability levels will then be assessed. Forty eight of the top
Instructional players will be invited to take part on the finals day on
4th September.
On the adjoining ground to the main Championships, a
"fun" two-chukka competition will be held for those players who have
qualified to "academy" status. The chukkas will be supervised by Ascot
Park instructors who will play on each team to coach and organize the
players. Qualification will result from having taken a minimum of 5
lessons during the summer at Ascot Park Polo Club and attaining a
certain level of proficiency that will be assessed by the last weekend
in August. Forty eight of the top academy players will be invited to
take part on the finals days, 4th September.
