Ascot Park Polo Club Goes To Jordan

After a wonderfully successful visit by His Royal Highness Prince Talal of Jordan to Ascot Park in September, the Ascot Park/Royal Jordanian bond has been strengthened further.

The Club is very happy to announce that HRH Prince Talal will be based at APPC next year for the full English season competing together with Victoria Grace at different levels of polo with Peter Grace coaching from the sidelines.

HRH Prince Talal completed an intensive training course at Ascot Park and his graduation Polo match was graciously attended by Her Majesty Queen Noor of Jordan with her daughter HRH Princess Raiyah and his wife, HRH Princess Ghida.

Upon his return home, HRH Prince Talal arranged for Peter, Elisabeth and Victoria Grace to travel to Jordan (see photos) to look into establishing a unique facility in the Middle East which will act as a National and International venue for members and players to learn and improve their game.

The highlight of the visit was the audience granted to Peter, Elisabeth and Victoria by His Majesty King Abdullah II to discuss plans for polo in the Kingdom.

If you would like to do a little diving, camel riding and polo in Jordan then stay tuned for news of the development of the exciting association between Ascot Park and Jordan
