Trip to Jordan

Peter and Elisabeth Grace found time to do some sightseeing in Jordan which is a ancient, historic and beautiful desert country.

Shown right, Peter and Elisabeth overlooking the Petra valley. In the far distance, carved into the cliffs are the three Castles of the rulers, which they also visited.

Shown left Elisabeth (standing just left of the middle camel!) in front of the beautiful Exchange Building - PETRA, where they used to collect tolls from those passing through the land, to guarantee their safe passage

Shown above, Elisabeth and Peter, beside the River Jordan, near the site where Jesus was baptised, with Israel on the other side of the river, and a recent Church in the background.

Finally, after a long days sightseeing, enjoying the view from their hotel, the beautiful sunset over the Dead Sea, with The Movenpick swimming pool in the foreground which is actually 50 feet above the level of the Dead Sea, which is famously below sea level.
