Last weekend saw the FHM 2 goal Challenge with
Dodson Squeak
taking the honours in the final against
Burwood
with
Needmore
Farms beating
FHM
in the subsidiary final.
The final match was a nail-biting affair which
finished, at the final bell, tied in a draw. The final result
was decided by a penalty shoot-out. Well done to all who took
part and particularly to the gallant runners-up
Burwood,
led so ably by Claire Brougham, who all fought so hard in a game
that could have gone either way.

– 8) on Sunday 13th February. So, in order to have one’s muscles
honed ready for the nocturnal activities of the following day

IWPA
As
you will no doubt be aware, APPC is the home of the
International Women’s Polo Association. Founded by Pippa Grace
the Association aims to promote the game of polo to women and
encourage their development once they have been bitten by the
bug!
Dedicated ladies’ chukkas take place at the Club each Thursday
morning in the winter and on Wednesday evening too in the
summer. There are currently in excess of 20 girls regularly
attending each week due in no small part to the technical
de-briefings that take place in the Clubhouse immediately
following chukkas!
Membership of the IWPA
is a bargain at just £25.00 especially considering chukka fees
are subsidised to the tune of 50%. Full membership details can
be obtained from Mia Randall-Coath at
mia.randallcoath@polo.co.uk. |
