Peter
Grace, is the founder Ascot Park Polo Club. A show jumper of Olympic standard, Peter
was first introduced to polo in his native New Zealand. In 1973 he
and his family moved to England where he established his Rangitiki team
at Cowdray Park and later founded the Rangitiki Polo School.
In 1976 he
moved to the Guards Polo Club in Windsor, where the school has provided
the basis of the expansion of polo in this country.
His careful attention to the intricacies of the polo swing and his
ability to enlighten and inspire enthusiasm in even the most unlikely
participant in this enthralling sport have earned him a world-wide
reputation as a brilliant instructor.
This reputation and an increasing
demand for polo playing facilities prompted him to found his own club in
1988.
